The Class AB RMB-1585MKII is meticulously built around two substantial, in-house manufactured high-current toroidal transformers. These transformers are designed to deliver a consistent current supply to a set of 8 high-efficiency energy storage capacitors. This innovative power supply architecture ensures the delivery of deep and commanding bass energy, maintaining absolute control over low frequencies, even when driving the most demanding loudspeakers.
To maintain optimum operating temperature, the RMB-1585MKII features four thermostat-controlled, variable-speed ultra-low-noise fans, ensuring efficient thermal management.
One of the unique features of the RMB-1585MKII is a rear panel switch that allows you to select between normal 5-channel mode or Bi-Amp mode. In Bi-Amp mode, Channels 1+2 and Channels 4+5 are configured to receive the same input signal, facilitating straightforward bi-amplification. This setup allows for the use of a separate amplifier channel for the High Frequency (HF) and Low Frequency (LF) drivers of the Left and Right channels, enhancing dynamics and resolution for compatible loudspeakers.
The RMB-1585MKII is purpose-built for Home Theatres and custom installations. It offers convenient auto-switching XLR Balanced and RCA inputs, ensuring compatibility with any AV Processor or Home Theatre receiver preamp output.
